From the 21st to the 24th November 2023, our students Daria Alexandra Petrescu (3B) and Stavroula Kyriakou (3C), represented PASCAL English School Larnaka at the Globeducate Academic Olympics in Paris. The students competed against their counterparts from different countries and were accompanied by their teacher Ms. Demetra Savva.
During the event, students were hosted by local families and participated in a variety of STEAM oriented challenges. Students made new friends from different schools, while competing in an international and multilingual atmosphere.
The set challenges evaluated their knowledge across various fields, including science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM), encouraged teamwork, enhanced logical reasoning and critical thinking skills.
Each year, the Globeducate Academic Olympics brings together students aged 13 to 14, to compete in mixed teams on topics set out to challenge thinking and communication skills, knowledge and logic, as well as team building skills.
The Globeducate Academic Olympics in Paris provided a unique opportunity for our students, in exploring cultural experiences, and at the same time develop their academic abilities.
