Great achievements for PASCAL English School Larnaka students at the Pancyprian Schools Athletics Competitions.

PASCAL English School Larnaka is thrilled to share the news that our pupils-athletes who have participated in the Pancyprian Schools Athletics Competition organised by the Cyprus Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth, have been awarded with medals for their excellent performance.

On Thursday, the 23rd February 2023, our Year 3 pupil Cassanda Sophocleous won 2nd place in the 200m Backstroke in the Pancyprian Swimming Competition. 

With the participation of 369 students from 90 schools of Secondary General and Secondary Technical and Vocational Education, the Pancyprian Student Swimming Competition took place at the Larnaca Olympic swimming pool. The competition programme included the following competitions: 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 100m front, 100m butterfly, 100m backstroke, 200m freestyle, 200m front, 200m butterfly, 200m. backstroke, 400m free, 1500m freestyle (boys), 800m freestyle (girls), 200m mixed individual, 400m mixed individual. 

On Wednesday, 8th March 2023, our Year 2 pupil Aikaterini Christofi won 2nd place in ribbon at the Pancyprian Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition. The competition took place at Agios Ioannis Chrysostomou High School in Nicosia and all athletes participating were required to present all four programmes to take part in the Women’s and Junior’s category, (Stefani-Ball-Corines-Ribbon). 

Additionally, the following pupils participated in the Regional Track and Field competition on the 13th and 14th of March: Lucas Anastasiou (2A), who attained 2nd place in the 300 meters running, and Marcus Anastasiou (2B) who attained 3rd place in the 300 meters, will both represent PASCAL English School Larnaka at the Pancyprian Track and Field Competition.
